The Chamber of Commerce is committed to supporting local charities and foundations
St Leonard’s Hospice in York and St Catherine’s Hospice in Scarborough have been chosen as Chamber charities by York & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce.
The independent charities, chosen by Chamber president Ed Everard, a consultant for Saville Audio Visual, provide specialist palliative care and support for local people with life limiting illnesses.
Between them, the Hospices provide a wide range of services including day care, in-patient and Hospice@home, across a huge area, and both rely on voluntary donations to support their combined running costs of over £10 million each year.
